Transcription: It shows the history of Washington, the deity of Washington as a man in heaven. He is surrounded by two maidens, Victory and Fame on either side. The 13 ladies surrounding him represent the 13 states. There are six allegorical panels depicting merchant marine, manufacturing, mechanics, peace, war, things of that nature. Some of the drawings, some of the paintings are 15 to 11 feet high because when you look from this area down here and you look at the canopy in the ceiling, you will see that they're all very life-size in their size.
